The Outline Toolkit

Last week we presented our Menu Toolkit as the quickest and easiest way to turn HTML Tables into Dynamic HTML Menus, This week we continue with the Outline Toolkit to help you create rich HTML outlines. This toolkit includes a library that transforms nested lists into an expanding and collapsing outline.

We created the outline below by defining a simple nested list using the Outline Toolkit:

In Internet Explorer 4.0, an interactive outline is available.

Over the next few pages, we walk through how to take full advantage of the outline toolkit library. The last page is the outline toolkit wizard that quickly builds menus. First we demonstrate how to define an outline.
