Or is my translation facility less than reliable? Winterwolf on Apr 28, 2006 at 2:36:22 AM (# 4122)Winterwolf: Copyrighting would protect you. I did it because I don't want anyone getting ahold of my songs, writing down the lyrics, then copyrighting them, then suing me over songs I wrote. I'm not saying my songs are the greatest ever, I just want to safeguard myself. You are correct, though. It does allow me to work easier within the music industry.
Thankfully there is a certain amount of protection provided by being in the public eye. Almost all the songs Ive posted have been performed in public places with verifyable witnesses so if someone tried that theyd find themselves in a pickle. On the other hand really I dont care. Suing me would be like trying to distill alcohol from moonrock. Futile and expensive. As far as Im concerned nothing Ive written is worth stealing so Im really not worried about it. I post my songs as an archive for posterity because friends insisted. BachusII on Apr 28, 2006 at 7:04:09 AM (# 4123)@ jockrock, "From the heart" is the correct translation, though that translation doesn't credit the concept as much as it should. Something like "Congratulations from the heart" or "Heartfelt gratulations" is closer but those don't sound right either. But I suspect you do grasp the drift of the concept. Please be aware that there is a new, very malicious Trojan going around. The trojan falls into a class called "ransomware". In other words, it will require that you send money (possibly via wire transfer, the amount is roughly $11 US) to free up your computer.
Here is a link to the article:

Please be extremely careful, as the article states that this particular Trojan will lock up your computer and delete files every 30 minutes. A system which does not keep records if (when is more likely) the transfer crosses international borders. So the police have nothing to investigate. Not that they would anyway, afterall it's only eleven dollars. http://www.sophos.com/virusinfo/analyses/trojransoma.html
