| RobinAnn on Oct 13, 2006 at 7:48:26 AM (# 41) I think it's suppossed to be fun here too :) If it doesn't interest you... don't read it.
I imagine the only difficult piece of the puzzle would be ppl reading (wasting time etc) on what post is on-topic v.off-topic.
If it's sooooo bothersome, well o.k. then - YOU! YES YOU! .. keep outta the thread! haha
I suppose the unwritten law of SE would be the post creator would be the moderator.
...as Moderator!... I deem this thread to allow off-topic posts! Please give a header like (off-topic) like in this example - for all the readers who wish to skip the tangent information further reading this thread...

Maybe we could institutionalize this throughout the site -- except in the IT of course ;-) Winterwolf on Oct 13, 2006 at 8:39:38 PM (# 42)*notes*
I love 12-strings. My first guitar was a pearl 12string and it was the instrument I learned Led Zeppelin and alot of other rock band songs on. Sadly my last one I gave to a friend whom I havent seen in ages. I truly miss playing one. Though I suppose my fingers think its just grand, as they ache as it is after a few hours of practice on 6 strings.
Monte I am officially jealous. nice things :D My instruments are a Yamaha LA-88 and a Fender F210. Both accoustics. My last electric was a 1970 Univox "Mosright copy" with flatstrings. A guy who purported to be my friend offered to fix the tremelo mechanism which was wonky and sold it instead for coke money. :/ I only performed live once with it, at Kennies Castaways during the monday jam in the early 90s.
Anyway RA I have added your dev site to my links page under the friends tab.
As for offtopic/ontopic I am certain most discerning individuals can tell the difference. t RobinAnn on Oct 17, 2006 at 12:21:00 PM (# 43) This message has been edited.
...the OFFICIAL RobinAnn Posting Style... ~ BOO! ~
I did not realize exactly until now what a monster I have created!
Does anyone else see the massive undertaking a began on a 'whim' when I decided to make my ..er .. one page www.robin-ann.com home page into a full-fledged web blog-o-rama and glorified promotional robin-ann masterpiece (well I'm trying...) ?!
eeeeek! I spose since it is the month of ghouls - this sort of upgrade fits in nicely with the spirit of present.
A few more improvements I have added.. and I still have LOTS more to do. Nice Link Winterwolf on your site. Thank you :) - and yeh... we'll leave the very serious threads to overly serious posters... Now I've got an eggie(s) for all of you !!!
RobinAnn on Dec 8, 2006 at 7:38:53 AM (# 44) This message has been edited.Hi Everyone :)
I'm trying out some new idea's on my website (technorati, MyBlogLog, RSS...)
I'd like some comments if everything is working alright or if there are problems viewing certain things - loading issues (I still have not scaled down those images for the first page javascript - and I think the page load waits until after all the images have loaded... I think I remember hedger having a solution for making javascript render after the page, if anyone has that bookmarked [or would like to post the solution] I'd like that very much)
- and any other thoughts you may have...
I looked at the site in IE7 and the header picture doesn't quite fit the whole space as it does in 6 and FF -- hmmmmm?
Occassionally the site show up on IE6 with the columns all messed up but if you hit the refresh key everything goes back into place - anyone know what that bug is and if there is a solution for it?
Other than that the mobile web design stuff is coming along slow (blog/rss posting is a time consuming endevor)- I have a new friend with UMPC's (which seem quite interesting and fun) could it replace my phone? O I hope it does one day - helllllo Skype (or hello telecom adding service the UMPC) either way I'd be psyked!
Miss you all - been busy not needing any 'crisis' help - with which you all provide and I am always very appreciative. Thank you.
Best wishes to you through the holiday season :)
luvra RobinAnn on Dec 8, 2006 at 7:58:26 AM (# 45)*disclaimer* btw - not all the pages beyond the home-page have been completely updated --- this is a one-girl show. RobinAnn on Dec 29, 2006 at 10:41:00 AM (# 46) This message has been edited.Everyone!
I am so very excited about all my new toys and gizmos on my home page - I just really wanted to make an announcement to revisit www.robin-ann.com :)
Of course if anything is broken, I wish you will tell me.
Anyone new to RSS (or other things I may have blogged about) will hopefully learn a thing or two and all those who 'know all' I hope you will give me insight to that which that I do not ;-)
thank you -- *hugs*
RA ooh - yes, please look at the 'mobile' site too.. the javascript widget from www.feedburner.com is an UNBELIEVEABLE timesaver... I never have to update the page... (well sortof but I wont get in to that now) healthbl3 on Jul 7, 2008 at 5:09:01 AM (# 47)good site Software Development
