This is a test of : h6This is a test of pre This is a test of clear formatting there is a problem with pre... doesn't seem to end.. and clear formatting doesn't fix. BUG ALERT! RobinAnn on Feb 5, 2008 at 10:35:44 AM (# 9)Test 2:hello this is pre. How do I stop pre, let me count the ways...
- 1,2,3 OK, assigning a ul seems to make pre go away...
- Here I go to try again
hello this is pre. How do I stop pre? Let me count the ways...
starting at normal after a carriage return seems to work. but hitting pre on the same line alters the whole line and then when I hit normal again pre goes away... hmmm lets carriage return again shall we? pre
normal
ok that works as it should. everytime you hit the block elements while in your line of thought.. you can change the text to do just about anything and not have to highlight all of it to accomplish such nonsense.. seems nice enough. now onto another test...
RobinAnn on Feb 5, 2008 at 10:47:42 AM (# 10)Test 3pre again. I wonder what to do about pre...
Clear formatting does not work on pre - I wonder if I change my text to another block element if clear formatting will work on that? ...NOPE.
Maybe it is all just suppossed to bother me and it works just fine? I think I am wrong to say that since I REALLY think there is a problem with clear formatting because even when I highlight the entire line with my mouse and hit clear formatting the text just stays as is... look, you can hardly read this! I have it set to H6 and tried to clear and NADA NOTHING ZIP ZERO...
In reference to BUG ALERT #1, I think pre (and all the other block elements) end when you assign it another element type or carriage return. pre
see?
?
No all those tests were bad. start with PRE -- carriage return and continue to get pre. see?
Now watch what happens with H4.. carriage return and
it's back to normal. IS THAT NORMAL?
I'm not going to bother with color font and size yet.
I reiterate: Maybe it is all just suppossed to bother me and it works just fine? RobinAnn on Feb 5, 2008 at 10:48:34 AM (# 11)BTW.. all these test were completed in IE7 with scriptlets and scripting turn on. Scott Isaacs on Feb 5, 2008 at 6:27:59 PM (# 12)I will look into these. I have a feeling these bugs have been around all along as I did not modify the behavior of the editor (just how it integrates with the site).
Scott RobinAnn on Feb 6, 2008 at 8:22:45 AM (# 13)Ok.. it's probably fine then Scott. I never noticed them before but since you asked for testing I went a little AR (anal-retentive) for you.
