 Vista Belkin wireless

Hey all new here and just need a little help if i can. My Fiancee has a Dell I570 that came with Windows 7 on it. She plays The Sims which was not compatable with W7 so we got the disk and reformatted it to Windows Vista which it is compatable with. This morning once it was done, we found a couple problems. One her normal wireless internet she was using is no longer their and we did not think to even look and see what one she was using so we are unable to get the program back. So we went with a backup plan using her Belkin wireless USB adapter. we got the disk installed the Belkin on her computer as we know how to but now even though it is on the computer, it will not register any wireless internet. We have a router that we have used for a while now and have had no problems out of. What so we need to do in order to get her internet again anyone got any ideas? If you need more information i shall provide what i can.

W7 is Vista with the bugs fixed - so if it works in Vista it should work in W7. You can run apps in compatibility mode (e.g. as XP) - there was no need to install Vista (IMHO) and I'd suggest putting W7 back on.

The operating system will have little effect with that adapter. I would advise you remove the third party tools that the Belkin CD would have installed and use the native tools in Windows 7 or Vista if you still have this installed. There you can connect to the wireless router and enter you security pass-code WPA, WEP etc.

If you are still experiencing a wireless problem reply with the full detail and I will see if i can fix it for you.

Thanks Computer Repair
