:  |  firefox not using cached images
I have a page that loads about 400 images (displayed in groups as requested by user), and there is a deliberate "downloading images, please wait" prompt.
The idea is when the download is complete, they are cached, and the next visit to the page does not require downloading them again (and another unnecessary wait).
The address to the images is the same, yet they download again, sometimes, same inconsistency on different machines. There is nothing set to prevent caching, like private browsing or something.
Anyone know why firefox does not use its cached images, sometimes? the reload is within minutes, so the image did not "expire".
BTW, the image is requested from a .php call with an id to fetch the image, so the image url might be like: src=get_thumb.php?id=123;
I checked the downloaded images from the Page Info media tab and the image name is exactly the same for each.

Did the user download more images that his cache could hold? If his cache size is set too small, the browser would have to clear old images to download newer ones.
