Hyperlink to a Bookmark in a pdf

I have a series of pdf files that contain bookmarks which are used for passing on information to users.   However I have been asked if I can provide hyperlinks into the pdfs at specified bookmarks.   I am not sure that it can be done but was wondering if it were at all possible.   I have a doucment such as:

Training Guide to Using a VIdeo Camera.pdf and a bookmark eg focussing, and would like to go straight to the relevant page.   I have seen the odd site on the web which 'appears' to do this although the links could be to individual pdfs.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Regards

Norman

I have now managed to work it out - basically you cannot hyperlink to a bookmark.   A pdf file must contain named destinations, if it does then can hyperlink to these.   As well as to individual pages.

Nice that you provide that information to SE, Norman. A good example how things should work in a forum...

You cannot link to bookmarks in PDF. If you are accustomed to thinking of bookmarks in the sense that Microsoft Word uses the term, you will need to make a few mental adjustments in Acrobat.Adobe and MS use bookmark to mean different things. They are both something like a physical bookmark, a bit of paper you stick between the pages of a book to mark a place you want to return to later. But in Word ,a bookmark is the place you want to remember, where in PDF the bookmark is the paper you are marking your place with.
