Short Description
A 3 part tutorial showing you how to use PHP and MySQL to build a data-driven site.

Long Description
Both PHP and MySQL are a free solution for building data-driven sites. In WebMonkey's 3 part tutorial you see how to use PHP and MySQL to build a data-driven site.

  • Lesson 1 is going to cover the installation of these products on both Unix and Windows systems. If you don't need to worry about that (you're working on your ISP's machine, perhaps), jump right to the first example scripts, where the magic starts.
  • In Lesson 2 you will look at some more complex scripting goodies, including looping, form input, and sending data from and to the database.
  • Lesson 3 will cover validation and techniques for making your PHP scripts smart and clean.

Overall good intro to PHP3, but not all that technical. I would have liked to see some more code examples..

A very short introduction to the terminology of MySQL and PHP, but really not much else.
