I would have to say IE4 is _not_ better than NS.  I'm seeing problems under IE4.72.2106.8.  You'll see that the main window's scroll bar moves & resizes as the clipped layer is scrolled.  Is there any workaround for this?

really good. It look's ALMOST the same in the IE5 and Netscape 4.5. But Internet Explorer is a little bit better.

I just tested this with netscape 4.08 and netscape 4.5 and the demonstration ran fine.  What platform are you using?

Not related to this article but it jogged my memory: there also seems to be a problem using DISPLAY in tables in IE.

Only thing i'd like to know, is how to integrate this with tables - to create a header row with column names, that does not scroll, and then table rows with data-fields.

Very good information. I've always looked for ways to do this across browsers. I've found that insideDHTML is the source for pretty much anything that I need for web knowledge!
