I have a frameset being called into one iframe.

then that frame set basically pulls together the site.  how do i code pages that are called outside the iframe to get the main frame etc.  What  a nightmare im haveing here.

any help would be appreciated.  the site is http://www.solutionpacks.biz

Great article, but being a bit of a dummy I need some help.

In my case I have subdirectories that I want to access a single /frameset.htm at the root directory.

However, if I put   var container = "/frameset.htm" in one of the body pages, the browser goes into some type of endless loop.

To get around this I have a frameset.htm and nav.htm in each subdirectory, but that is kinda defeating the purpose.

Does anyone know what I need to do so I only need one frameset.htm and one nav.htm located in the root?

Glad to see this type of help/assist being provided.  keep up the good work.

Would have enjoyed it more if I could have printed it without having to go to Landscape mode.  Even then, some of the code cut off and had to be hand copied.

it's good to see this method being promoted! i use javascript-generated frame code in many of my pages... i've also setup additional conditions, like different frame sizes based on browser and version, since the 3 power-house browsers each render frames a little bit differently...
