I am new to this busness of making web pages. Hell I never made on. I would love to have one. my first one on AOL was so bad I had to delet it. Now thats bad. How do I rate this. well how about half way. ask me in a few years after I get the basic idea of HTML. As an old fart but a newbie to writing pages and running a business and going to school, it is important I priortize my time, If I cant find relevant information to what I want in the first few minutes on a site, I am gone, someplace else. If it werent for the fact that siteexperts was recommended to me repeatedly by several friends, I woulda left a long time ago..

Well, yes, ummm anything new here?
Unfortunately, no. Usability IS important to a site, but I'm sure we all realise this. Instead of the idealism, perhaps the article could have been more pragmatic in it's approach to helping people achieve this goal. | | garg on Mar 17, 1999 at 4:57:23 AM | No Rating | | fdfdfdfdfd δσδσδσδ | | Monica2 on Feb 5, 1999 at 8:05:00 PM | Rating: 3 | A good reminder of why I got into this business. As an artist, I see plenty of superfluous elements in the world, and what I love about the web is its inherent potential to marry content, utility, and elegant design.
Usability goes both ways. I had to register to leave my comment here--this tells YOU something about your user--I cared enough to make a 3-minute detour to leave this note. |
